Felix the robot needs a friend

Hello!
Yesterday I introduced Felix the robot to 4º A, but they were told that this nice robot needs a friend , so they were challenged to create that friend by playing a drawing game: as they spin a pencil on a spinner the number they get is related to one part of the body they must draw..

Ontem apresentei o Felix o robot ao 4º ano , mas foi-lhes dito que este simpático robot precisa de um amigo e então foram desafiados a criar um amigo para ele, através de um jogo de desenho: devem fazer rodar um lápis numa roda com números, o número que lhes calhar está relacionado com uma parte do corpo que devem desenhar.

Os alunos ainda não terminaram, mas assim que a sua obra de arte esteja pronta serão apresentados os resultados.

The British - 4ºA

Today, as it was a rainy day  the students learned a british idiom"It's raining cats and dogs" which means "it's raining a lot"

 Afterwards I showed them a power point about the British, some traditions and important monuments and places. Then we played a game : I wrote four answers on the board:
a) Big Ben
b)prince William
c) Buckingham palace and Windsor castle
d) Tea

I divided the class in groups and I gave some pieces of paper with one word or two in each piece of paper and asked students to put them in order so they could find a sentence/question.After I checked the accuracy students had to find the correct answers for their question on the board.

Hoje, como está um dia chuvoso os alunos aprenderam uma expressão britânica "It's raining cats and dogs" que significa que está a chover muito.

Depois a teacher mostrou um power point sobre os Britânicos , algumas tradições, monumentos e lugares importantes. Em seguida jogamos um jogo:

Escrevi no quadro quatro respostas:

a) Big Ben
b)prince William
c) Buckingham palace and Windsor castle
d) Tea

 

Dividi a turma em grupos e dei-lhes pedaços de papel com uma ou duas palavras em cada pedaço de paper e pedi-lhes que ordenassem as palavras de forma a construirem uma pergunta.Depois de eu verificar se as frases/questões estavam bem construidas , os alunos tiveram de encontrar no quadro a resposta correcta para a sua pergunta.

British culture 3ºA

Today one of the things that I asked 3ºA to do was to colour the Union Jack(United Kigdom flag) and to draw the first things they remember when they think about the United Kingdom ( England, Scothland, Wales and Nothern Ireland). Some students confuse England and United Kingdom and United Kingdom and America but that was one of the reasons of this task, to get rid of this kind of confusions.

Afterwards they really surprised me and some of the drawings were of  Big Ben, Stonehenge, olympic games, the Queen, Scottish man,etc... and there was even a student that draw  a big pool in the shape of a cup of tea :)

Hello! What's your name? 1st grade

Hello!

On the first English lesson the first graders met a special friend, Pinocchio

Pinocchio introduced himself and helped the little ones to introduce themselves

 - Hello! I'm Pinocchio.What's your name? Nice to meet you!

Pinocchio is also a good singer and taught the first graders the song "Hello, what's your name?"

Afterwards students draw something they like and the teacher wrote their names next to their favourite thing, that will be their name tag



Na primeira aula de inglês os alunos do 1º ano conheceram um amigo especial , o Pinóquio
Este apresentou-se e ajudou os pequeninos a apresentarem-se

O Pinóquio também é um bom cantor e ensinou ao alunos do 1º ano a canção "Hello, what's your name?"

Depois os alunos desenharam algo que cada um gostasse muito e a teacher escreveu os seus nomes ao lado do desenho. Esta vai ser o seu crachá

portfolios

Today I want your opinion on portfolios, what do you think about them? Are they useful in the language lessons? What items should be included in a portfolio?

Hoje gostaria de ter a vossa opinião acerca dos portfolios.Têm utilidade nas aulas de língua? Que itens deviam ser incluídos nos mesmos? Terminei há pouco tempo dois portfolios diferentes e gostaria de saber a opinião quer de colegas professores quer de pais/familiares de alunos.
